Communicating Christ in the Congo
My name is Fr. Didier Mokuba Ngankoy and I am a Catholic priest from the diocese of Inongo, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I would like to extend my gratitude to the benefactors who have made my Institutional Communications studies possible at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.

I was born in Bokaro, in the province of Bandundu, and I am the third of seven children. I grew up in a very Catholic family and my parents permitted me to complete my education at a minor seminary. When I was 18 years old I graduated and decided to continue along the path to the priesthood, and joined the St. Augustine Major Seminary in Kalonda.

After completing my philosophy and theology studies I was ordained, and for three years I worked as the parish priest of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church. Then I transferred to the Catholic University of Congo, in Kinshasa, to begin studying Social Communication.

I came to Rome in 2014 to complete my training in the field of Institutional Communication of the Church, with the goal of learning how to evangelize and spread the values of the Church in a professional and effective manner. I have had a great experience here, especially living at the Altomonte College, a residence for priests, where I have received excellent formation.

I thank God for my benefactors and knowing so many people of good will. May God bless and protect your wonderful work for the good of the Church and the world. I will continue to pray for you!
